The Biocenter Finland Bioinformatics platform invites you for a webinar series to introduce the various types of bioinformatics services offered by the platform. The webinar series aims to provide insight into the technology employed and a deeper understanding of the purpose of a given technology and how it is used in research. The series will start off with presentations by the node leaders.

Speaker: Esa Pitkänen is a FIMM-EMBL Group Leader at the Institute for Molecular Medicine Finland (FIMM), Helsinki Institute of Life Sciences (HiLIFE) and the Applied Tumor Genomics Research Program in the Research Programs Unit, University of Helsinki. Esa’s research group Machine Learning in Biomedicine focuses on developing new integrative and interpretable machine learning methods for multilayered data in biomedicine and translating the results into clinical practice.
